Yesterday was Keiths birthday. Keith asked for a chocolate cake. Last year we had an ice cream cake but this year I decided to bake him a cake. So here is how the cake turned out..

and we added this yummy low caalorie ice cream. The ice cream is the best silky chocolate.. mmm.

Just thought I would share a bit of Keith's birthday with everyone!!

Happy birthday fellow Februarian! That cake looks delicious!!!
OH I forgot to mention that was chocolate and the filling is cheese cake. Thought I would try since he likes Cheese cake factories Red velvet cheese cake but asked for chocolate. Yeah I know red velvet technically is chocolate but I already had the cake mix.
Cake looks wonderful! Cool idea for filling...and mmmm ice cream.
We used to have a Sunnyside Farms here in NJ that had homemade ice cream...they closed, I wonder if they moved to CA. I miss them, it was a favorite when I was a little girl!
wow that looks great. My kids would love something like that. How did you hollow the middle? special pan?
