Holiday Ideas Part 2

Well this weekend wasn’t as productive as I had wanted it to be. I came home from work on Friday and felt miserable so I ran the errands that I could and came home and slept.
I went to quilt class this morning and though the atmosphere of the LQS always makes me feel better I still didn’t feel great.
My accomplishments for this weekend? 6 of those can insulators for my family’s stockings ( that took a whole 5 minutes or it seemed). I have sewn 3 tissue covers (not the same as the ones I sent) and have 3 more cut out. I cut fabric for a quilt called Cactus Wreath ( ). I have yet to start sewing but figure maybe I can get some bits and pieces sewing done through out the week but its cut so thats a start.
So I got to thinking about the things I liked about the Holidays and like I mentioned before, I like giving gifts. Especially the ones that mean some thing special. I know that many people have been touched by cancer and though I haven’t done it in a while, this is a great charity pattern for chemo caps.. and it doesn’t have to be just for that I’m sure the children’s hospital would love them as well as other places. And you know I would wear them if they were in the right colors. Some of the patterns are really cute - for those that crochet as well as quilt. - more crochet

Now on to some more Project ideas. I can’t say they are quick and easy but we all know that if it really needs to get done.. if there is a will we will find a way.
Arm chair organizer – so you won’t lose the remote and tv guide.. ha ha didn’t work for me. There are also some other organizer patterns. I love the organizers but have yet to organize myself.. still trying.

That easy stocking pattern to make last minute when you realize that one of your Christmas morning guests doesn’t have a stocking.

Bottle bags for that special wine or maybe a bottle of sparkling cider? Great for Hostess gifts. Or maybe an office party?

An insulated lunch sack, so you can be different. Who couldn’t use a personalized lunch bag?

Those famous rice heating bags. I made these for mom one year and my sister inlaw ended up taking it home with her. I of course made mom another one.

For the crafter ..

Pillow Case Patterns

More for you Pet

heres a collection of patterns to outfit almost the entire kitchen. Also great smaller projects for secret sister exchanges and such

A Festive Santa hat – warning this one is crochet

Advent Calendar - maybe for next year I have 3 or four ready to sew like I needed that many

Well its almost midnight here so I am off to get some last minute things done before heading to bed. Its back to work tomorrow. Hopefully this week will be less hectic than last. Take care !!
